This vibrant and highly functional kitchen forms the true heart of a family home in Earlwood, NSW. Designed for a family of passionate home cooks, the space blends generous proportions, considered storage, and joyful colour.

Repose was engaged to deliver bespoke joinery across multiple spaces, including the kitchen and combined bathroom/laundry space, carefully tailored to suit the home’s modest footprint while maximising both workspace, storage and personality. Our scope spanned cabinetry design collaboration with the designer, fabrication, and installation for both spaces, along with integration of appliances, stone bench tops, and open shelving.

The kitchen featured Laminex ‘Green Slate’ in Flint finish, anchoring the kitchens colour palette and delivering a rich, contemporary tone that complemented the warm timber accents and natural textures. Overhead, open shelving above both the cook top and sink creates space for a rotating display of art and collected objects - a feature that brings an ever-changing, personal touch to the home.

A large central island was prioritised in the layout, with the cook top and sink placed along the perimeter wall. This allows for an uninterrupted expanse of bench top - perfect for preparing meals, hosting gatherings, and serving as a workspace for children’s homework. The island’s deep recess tucks stools neatly underneath, ensuring clear thoroughfare through to the original house.

Natural light pours into the space via the north-facing pavilion, while the eastern window captures leafy views and encourages cross-ventilation. Inside the joinery, concealed storage solutions such as a fitted pantry with pull-out drawers and deep appliance housing make the kitchen as functional as it is beautiful.

The combined bathroom/laundry brings a playful contrast to the kitchen, with Laminex Moroccan Clay and French Navy finishes giving a vibrant, energising feel. We built custom cabinetry to house laundry appliances, folding space, and storage for cleaning essentials, all tucked behind tall bi-fold doors. A durable laminate bench top, integrated hampers, and pull-out baskets maximise everyday usability while keeping the space neat and clutter-free.

Within this space, Repose crafted a custom vanity to tie in with the home’s colour story. Designed to maximise limited space, the vanity features soft-close drawers, moisture resistant finishes, and a bench top in Caesarstone ‘Atlantic Salt’ for durability and easy maintenance.

Across all spaces, durable Caesarstone ‘Atlantic Salt’ bench top, brass detailing, and carefully chosen hardware bring the design together. Every piece of joinery was custom-made to suit the home’s layout and the client’s lifestyle. From the kitchen’s showpiece island to the bold laundry and elegant vanity, this project reflects our ability to deliver vibrant, functional spaces through thoughtful, bespoke joinery.
